Maaoupe Road BOM Quilt Kit – by Helen Stubbings of Hug’n’Kisses

This gorgeous quilt pattern has been designed by Helen Stubbings of Hugs‘n’Kisses and uses her signature turned edge applique technique and HNK Iron-on Applique paper. You can choose to use whatever method you wish but may need to reverse or adjust the templates to suit.

There are eight rows in the quilt project. Once all rows are completed, there will be finishing instructions to complete the quilt using a Quilt as you go method or a standard quilt top method.

The finished quilt measures 50” x 66” 

Each monthly pack includes a pattern, full sized layout guide and cutting instructions, a laser cut custom set of templates from the HNK Iron-on Wash-away Applique paper. This saves you having to trace and cut your own applique templates. EPP iron-on leave-in 1” Hexagons are also included in each months pattern pack.

A General Instructions booklet will come with your first month, and a finishing/construction booklet with month 8.

The quilt is designed to be made ’scrappy’.  All backgrounds are a Devonstone Linen fabric and the applique and EPP can be randomly chosen from the 16 fabrics from your colour-way choice.

The block instructions are simple – you will need a mild level of quilting experience in applique and english paper piecing.

The quilt was originally designed to use the Tilda Creating memories collections but can be made with any other collection or from your stash.
HnK’s version was made from the ‘Summer and ocean blues’ colour-way but can easily be switched to any of the other seasons, or mixes of colours – see photos.

4. Pastels – selection of pinks and minty blues from 3 Sister’s collections “Sandalwood” and “Muse”.
5. Autumn – Tilda “Creating Memories” Autumn colours.
6. Winter – Tilda “Creating Memories” Winter Reds and Greens.
7. Sunday Brunch – selection from the stunning Tilda “Sunday Brunch” collection.
8. Wallflower – selection from the gorgeous Tilda “Wallflower” collection. **SOLD OUT**

In Month One you will receive all 16 fabrics that you need for the applique plus the 2.8m of woven stabiliser. This way you can chose which fabrics you want for each design. You will also have a 9” strip of linen for the background, and two Cosmo Embroidery Threads to match your colour-way choice.

Cost – Month One $170-00 and then Month two through to eight will be $34-00 per month.
